An Art Nouveau palace on Lake Como’s western shore, family-run and open since 1910.
Grand Hotel Tremezzo has stood on the western shore of Lake Como since 1910, an Art Nouveau palace that remains family-owned and among the oldest hotels on the lake. Its 80 rooms and suites keep the early 20th-century style, marble staircases and stained-glass ceilings inside, private terraces facing the water outside.
The gardens hold three swimming pools, including the floating pool set directly on the lake, and the spa occupies the 18th-century Villa Emilia, with treatments rooted in hammam rituals and mineral-based therapies. Six venues run from Lombard cuisine at La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi to wood-fired pizzas by the shore, and boat excursions, cultural tours, and water sports leave from the property.
