Destaire is an editorial site, a considered selection of exceptional places to stay, presented as writing and photography. This policy explains, plainly, what that means for your data.

What we don’t collect

There are no accounts, no logins, and nothing to purchase here. Destaire doesn’t operate a booking system and doesn’t collect payment details, passwords, or traveller information. When a page links you to a hotel’s own site to check availability or make a reservation, that exchange happens entirely with them, under their own privacy terms.

Analytics

We use a lightweight, page-view analytics service (Visitors.now) to understand which stories and destinations resonate: aggregate counts, not individual profiles. We don’t run advertising pixels, and we don’t sell or share data with third parties for marketing.

Cookies and maps

This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Property pages embed an interactive map from Mapbox; loading it shares your device’s IP address and map interactions with Mapbox so the map can be drawn, under Mapbox’s own privacy terms. Nothing else on the page follows you from one site to the next.

External links

Most journeys through this site end somewhere else: a hotel’s reservations page, a map, a restaurant’s own site. Once you leave destaire.com, the destination’s privacy practices apply, not ours. We link only to properties and sources we trust, but we don’t control how they handle your data.
