St. Moritz’s oldest hotel, founded in 1856 and known as the birthplace of Alpine winter tourism.
Founded in 1856 by hotelier Johannes Badrutt, the Kulm is St. Moritz’s oldest hotel and the birthplace of Alpine winter tourism. Overlooking Lake St. Moritz in the heart of the Engadin, its 150 rooms and suites keep classic details, from pine-panelled walls to ornate salons and spacious terraces, while the spa holds indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, steam baths, a fitness center, and a yoga and Pilates studio.
The grounds include an ice rink, tennis courts, and Switzerland’s oldest hotel golf course, with complimentary golf and mountain railway passes in summer and access to the Cresta Run and Olympic Bob Run in winter. Ten dining venues range from classic European cooking at the Grand Restaurant to mountain dishes at Kulm Country Club and Peruvian street food at Amaru.
