A warm alpine hideaway pairing Japanese hospitality with ski-in, ski-out access to Les Trois Vallées.

Aman Le Mélézin opened in December 1992 on the Bellecôte piste in Courchevel 1850 as Aman’s first property in Europe: a small family hotel reimagined by Ed Tuttle, open only from December to April each winter. The gentle Bellecôte run begins at the door and links into Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski area in the world, where ski butlers carry equipment out and see guests onto the snow.

The 28 rooms, suites, and apartments face the piste, the village, or the mountains, many with south-facing balconies; the largest, Suite Le Mélézin, adds a fireplace and two balconies. A spa built for the hotel’s 25th anniversary sits two floors below the building, with a 14-meter lap pool at its heart, and dining centers on Nama, where traditional Japanese cooking runs from sushi and sashimi to wagyu and ramen.
