A former monastery in the hills above Portofino, with the harbor and the Ligurian Sea spread out below.
Originally a 16th-century monastery, Splendido was transformed into a hotel in the early 20th century and has since become synonymous with elegance and exclusivity on the Italian Riviera. Its rooms and suites have private balconies or terraces framing the harbor of Portofino and the Ligurian Sea.
Guests divide their days between the infinity pool, the Dior spa, and complimentary boat tours along the Ligurian coastline. The acclaimed La Terrazza, one of three restaurants, serves local specialties, and the hotel arranges culinary masterclasses, outdoor spa treatments, sunset cruises, and kayaking tours.
