Inside the New Park Gstaad, Designed by Joseph Dirand

A few minutes’ walk from the centre of Gstaad, the hotel that has stood in the village since 1910 reopens in summer 2027 as The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel, with 75 rooms by Joseph Dirand, seven restaurants and lounges, and a pool and spa.

On Wispilenstrasse, a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Gstaad, the Park opened in 1910 and has been part of the village for more than a century. After a full renovation it reopens as The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel, the brand’s second hotel in Switzerland after the Hotel des Bergues in Geneva.

The rooms and the restaurants

Joseph Dirand, the Paris based architect and interior designer known for the simplicity of his rooms, with their precise lines and natural materials, has designed the 75 rooms, including 18 suites, and the six penthouse residences, together with the Gstaad architects Jaggi. Dining is split between seven restaurants and lounges, from a live-fire grill to a Japanese omakase and Swiss classics.

The spa

The pool and spa sit alongside a fitness centre and two treatment rooms dedicated to Clinique La Prairie. The hotel also has a tennis court, an ice rink in winter and a ski and bike service, with an Alpine Concierge to plan days in the mountains, summer or winter.

The village and the slopes

Gstaad sits in the Saanenland, about two hours by car from Geneva and an hour and a half from Bern, with 220 kilometres of slopes in the surrounding mountains, rising to 3,000 meters. The Park joins the Gstaad Palace, open since 1913, and a Fouquet’s that opens this December at the edge of the village.
