The Déstaire Connector

The Déstaire connector lets an AI assistant read this site: our selected stays, destinations, collections, and travel writing. The assistant can then answer with our picks and link to their pages. It can also sell a city guide: the assistant gets a pay link, and pays it only when you approve the payment in your wallet. It cannot book a stay or change anything on the site.

How to add it

Add a custom connector (a remote MCP server) in your assistant and give it this address: https://destaire.com/mcp. It uses Streamable HTTP. It needs no sign-in and no key. Directories can read its server card at https://destaire.com/mcp/server-card.

Tools

search_stays: finds hotels and private stays by plain words, with filters for place, collection, amenities, and budget.
get_stay: gives one stay as its page shows it.
list_destinations: lists the destinations and collections.
get_destination: gives one destination and its stays.
list_articles: lists the travel writing, newest first.
get_article: gives one article.
list_guides: lists the city guides on sale.
get_guide: gives the public shop page of one city guide, never its contents.
buy_guide: gives a pay link for one city guide and the buyer’s email. An assistant with a Stripe agent wallet (for example Link) pays it, and the guide goes to the account of that email. Opened in a browser, the link goes to the guide’s page and the normal checkout.

ChatGPT gets no city-guide tools, no buy_guide, and no links to a guide’s shop page. The article and destination tools give a short answer first. An assistant can ask for the full answer.

Limits

A known assistant can make 1,200 calls a minute from one address. Other clients can make 120. A client that goes over is told to wait a minute.

Privacy

The connector never sees your conversation, only the call your assistant makes. For each call we keep the tool, the name of the assistant, and how many results it gave. We keep the words of a search only when it found nothing, so that we can make the search better. A purchase sends us the buyer’s email, which we use for the purchase and the account. Links in an answer name the assistant, so that we know where a visit came from. Our Privacy Policy tells you more.

Try it

After you add the connector, ask your assistant:
“Find me a hotel on Lake Como with a spa, using Déstaire.”
“What does Déstaire recommend in Provence?”
“Show me Déstaire’s newest travel stories.”
